Christmas time is here

( I found these candy canes at the store today! *bliss*)
The most wonderful time of the year!
Besides Summer of course.
I'm ready for the Christmas teas.
Pretty dresses.
Christmas trees.
The lights on everyone's houses.
When someone wishes you a "Merry Christmas"
("Happy Holidays" just isn't the same)
The yummy cookies.
eggnog in coffee drinks.
(which is OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD-AMAZING)
And my all time favorite part!
The amazing Christmas Hymns.
Its the season of all seasons
(besides Summer, duh!)
And I love it!!
"Do nor be afraid I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord This will be a sign to you: You wilt find a baby wrapped in strips of cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:10-17

Cigarette?

(This post is dedicated to Haley :))

It was one of those normal "I- totally-forgot- we-were-out-of-that-until-I-was-halfway-through-making-some- brownies-" walk to the store to get a needed ingredient.

I was wearing normal clothes not ripped torn ones.
Yes, that is important to note for the rest of the story.

Moving on.....
As I was about to reach the door of the desired store I was stopped by a man in his fifties who was wearing a wig (I have NO idea) and he WAS wearing torn and ripped clothes.
Our conversation went like this.

Wig man: "Hey girl! Do you have a smoke?"

Me: "A Cigarette? No...I don't have a cigarette".

Wig man: "You don't smoke? Ever?"

Me: "I have never smoked before and I don't carry cigarettes around with me".

Wig man: "Are you telling the truth? I've had people lie to me before".

Me: "I'm positive".

At this point his wig had started to slip and I noticed that under the blond curly wig he had straight brown hair. And I was starting to get creeped out so I walked into the store wondering why anyone would ever want to cover their brown hair for blond hair. (apologizes to all you blondes in advance, but it's a well known fact that brown hair is just better)

They say you learn something new everyday and today I learned that I look like the kinda person who carries cigarettes around and who also lies about not having them

Um. Wow.

Today is thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for the unknown future.
The future always gives us a second chance.
The unknown leaves us ignorant enough to walk through life.
I'd never want to go forward if I knew ahead of time all the things I would come across.
I also wouldn't want to walk forward if I didn't know that there is someone planning out my future for me.
He is planning it out in ways I could never imagine, giving me things I never knew I wanted and always knowing exactly what I need and having it happen at exactly the right time.
Every time.
Thank you, Jesus.

I can smell turkey (the food not the Country) right now and I can hear people laughing. Signs that this is going to the be best thanksgiving yet.
I hope it's the longest one too.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!!

Happiness is

Having a 48 variety pack of Top Ramen at your disposal :)

And I learned that our garage has the worlds worst lighting for pictures.
I did my best to fix it on Picasa but it was a loss cause.
Thank goodness for the black and white setting.

Today I proved that

You don't have to be a goth to wear all black.
You don't even have to be Emo.
Just slightly inadequate at dressing yourself and before you know it you'll find yourself in a public place wearing all black.
It can happen folks.

People and Hair.

One of the most interesting parts about getting an new haircut is seeing the reactions of people.
There are the people who love it because they love anything new.
There are the people who love it because they love everything about you. Or say they do.
There are the people hate it because they hate everything about you.
There are the people who hate it because they hate change. So much so they refuse to look at you.
There are the people who don't notice.
There are the people who notice and don't say anything because they change their own hairstyle every week.
There are the people who can't remember if it's a new haircut or if you've had your hair the same way for the past five years.
And there are the people who give their honest opinion. Aka, the boring people.
And how do you react, in general?

Lets dance the night away

And then stop off and have ice cream on the way home and desperately search for a place to go to the bathroom (bushes will do). Oh yeah and don't forget to speed and pass a police car on the way home so we can see what happens when you get pulled over.
We don't just go to a ball.
We make a night of it ;)

"It may be possible to do without dancing entirely. Instances have been known of young people passing many, many months successively without being at any ball of any description, and no material injury accrue either to body or mind; but when a beginning is made --when the felicities of rapid motion have once been, though slightly, felt --it must be a very heavy set that does not ask for more." ~ Jane Austen
Jane Austen knew her stuff.
Already planning our next ball.
